Holly has a passion for writing and publications. Having the dream of being an author herself, she started working in the publications industry in 2000 and has worked in fulfillment, marketing, finally settling down in the world of academic journal publishing with the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2003. Her current position as Senior Managing Editor, Peer Review has her in charge of handling staff and vendors, writing internal policy documentation and the ASCE Author Guide, reviewing workflows for optimization, and assisting with the creation of new journals. In addition to peer review, she is an active member of the Wizards of Ahs Toastmasters group having served in various officer roles for the club over the years. She has given a TedX Talk on the value of community at ASCE and has written articles about scholarly publications as well as for the website, Aish.com. She also serves as a book reviewer for several publishers and maintains a social media Instagram page focusing on reviewing and highlighting books.
