A scientist-publisher and strategist, Jo is driven by supporting researchers and societies in sharing and promoting research and knowledge to make a difference, with a particular interest in interdisciplinary research and supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Over 20 years in publishing, she has transitioned from journal management and commissioning, through portfolio expansion, to society partnership development, and into strategy. Jo has a BSc and DPhil in Biochemistry, and spent time as a Post-Doctoral researcher before moving into scholarly publishing.
She is Vice-Chair of the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) Membership and Marketing Committee, and a Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) SDG Publishers Compact Fellow.
