Before her tenure at the American Physical Society, Rachel served as the President of Research Square, a company dedicated to crafting innovative software and delivering top-tier services for the global research community. Preceding her time at Research Square, she held key roles at Springer Nature, including VP and Publishing Director for the BMC Group, overseeing over 500 open-access journals, which included the Springer Open portfolio. Prior to this, she was VP and Director of Open Access at Wiley, spearheading the strategic planning and development of Wiley's inaugural open-access initiatives.
